Author Open House Featuring Three Topnotch Wordsmiths!
Saturday, October 3rd at 4 pm
Join us at Henry’s Books on Saturday, October 3rd at 4 pm for a very special author open house to celebrate the works of Stephanie Logue, Robert Bennett, and Dr. Scott Simpson. Each author will have a variety of their titles for folks to choose from and they look forward to chatting with local readers about speculative fiction, thrillers, fantasy, historical fiction, and local history. This event is free!
Stephanie Logue writes contemporary fiction and creative nonfiction for girls and women who feel like they never quite fit in. She is the author of the YA contemporary novel The Right Kind of Light, which will be published in 2026. Stephanie's previous books include Not Without You (2024), a new adult novel about mental health and coping with loss and love in college, and her novella, Yes. Every Single Day. (2023) which considers what letting go of that first-love-future feels like.
Robert Lue Bennett is a South Dakota-based visual artist whose work combines realistic imagery with symbolic storytelling, often exploring themes of time, memory, and the relationship between people and the land. Most recently, Bennett self-published his first children’s book, The Adventures of Mischievous Max, which he authored and illustrated in full. The project was supported in part by a South Dakota Arts Council Career Development Grant and will be the focus of upcoming presentations and book-reading events at elementary schools, libraries, and community programs.
Dr. Scott Simpson is a writer, poet, songwriter, and lifelong educator whose work centers on learning, trust, and cultural connection. As a Learning Specialist, Scott helps schools foster meaningful relationships, culturally responsive teaching, and inclusive learning environments. Scott is a published poet, writer, and indie music producer, crafting words and songs that explore themes of belonging, transformation, and resilience.
This multi-author meet and greet will be held in the Community Room at Henry’s Books. We look forward to seeing you during this exclusive opportunity to mix and mingle with authors at the peak of their craft.
