The Henry’s Books Foundation is pleased to host the 2026 Community History Series. We are pleased to present a series of four community events that focus on the rich history and storytelling of our area. These panel-style events will feature local experts, historians, and storytellers; focusing on themes that highlight the rich history of Spearfish and the surrounding area. Additionally, each event will have free books available for attendees to take, all pertaining to the topics presented.
We recognize that we are surrounded by a wealth of wisdom from our local academic, indigenous, literary, and elder communities–this opportunity is perfect for letting their stories be heard, wisdom shared.
