Writing Critique Group at Henry's Books
4 sessions, each from 10 a.m.-noon:
8/16, 8/23, 9/6, 9/13
The Writing Critique Group is open to all writers who are interested in the art of creatively telling stories. Through a blend of instruction, reading time and individual critique sessions, participants will gain exposure to creative various types of storytelling, as well as engage in meaningful discussion about why we write and why stories matter. All participants will learn the value of giving and receiving feedback on their works-in-progress and will learn how to offer valuable critique of another writer’s work. A significant portion of the class will consist of critique, in which participants offer feedback on other participants' work. Participants are encouraged to bring a work in progress (4,000 words or less) OR an idea for an essay or another creative nonfiction project, to the first session. Bring your questions about writing, as well!
